Julien Thomas Hodson-Walker
managing director
The founder and principal of Walrus Design. He graduated with distinction and is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
While working in the UK he gained valuable experience with some of the country`s leading practices including Lovejoys and Building Design Partnership.
Julien arrived in Asia in 1993 and by 1999 was the Director responsible for the Malaysian operation of a leading regional practice.
In 2000 he decided to establish independent offices in Malaysia and later Singapore, but now choses to base himself in Malaysia as Walrus Design with which he has become synonymous.
Julien is a dedicated and passionate landscape architect who loves what he does. He has an inquisitive mind and will always challenge and test the design boundaries.
Julien has high expectations of himself and his staff. He leads by example and promotes a conducive, creative and focused working environment that allows Walrus Design to continue operating at the highest level. Testament to this is the significant collection of international industry awards Walrus Designs projects have won.
Raduan Mohd Daud
director
Raduan is a Malaysian landscape architect with over 20 years of experience through a broad range of projects. He is a corporate member of the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) and holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Landscape Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and a Diploma in Agriculture.
Raduan brings solid design skills, pragmatism and organizational skills at a strategic level to ensure projects are delivered following the client’s brief, meet our internal quality expectations and run smoothly. He is responsible for checking and signing off statutory Authority landscape related submissions and advising and coordinating staff on Authority Submission matters.
