Julien Thomas Hodson-Walker
Founding Director
The founder and principal of Walrus Design. He graduated with distinction and is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI). While working in the UK he gained valuable experience with some of the country`s leading practices including Lovejoys and Building Design Partnership.
Julien arrived in Asia in 1993 and by 1999 was the Director responsible for the Malaysian operation of a leading regional practice. In 2000 he decided to establish independent offices in Malaysia and later Singapore, but now choses to base himself in Malaysia as Walrus Design with which he has become synonymous.
Julien is a dedicated and passionate landscape architect who loves what he does. He has an inquisitive mind and will always challenge and test the design boundaries.
Julien has high expectations of himself and his staff. He leads by example and promotes a conducive, creative and focused working environment that allows Walrus Design to continue operating at the highest level. Testament to this is the significant collection of international industry awards Walrus Designs projects have won.
Mohd Raduan Mohd Daud
Director
Raduan is a Malaysian landscape architect with over 20 years of experience through a broad range of projects. He is a corporate member of the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) and holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Landscape Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and a Diploma in Agriculture.
Raduan brings solid design skills, pragmatism and organizational skills at a strategic level to ensure projects are delivered following the client’s brief, meet our internal quality expectations and run smoothly. He is responsible for checking and signing off statutory Authority landscape related submissions and advising and coordinating staff on Authority Submission matters.
Siti Maisarah Salahudin
Associate
Maisarah is a corporate member of ILAM who sits on the ILAM council. She has over 20 years of experience, 13 of which have been at Walrus Design. In addition to her experience with high rise and mixed use developments, she has extensive experience in running large contracts with multi-disciplinary teams and she is an integral part of our management team.
Evasukmaliza
Senior Landscape Architect
Evasukmaliza is a corporate member of the Institute of Landscape Architecture Malaysia (ILAM) with over 17 years of industry experience. Known for her bold creativity and visionary approach, she blends innovation with practicality to deliver landscapes that are both functional and inspiring. As a seasoned lead consultant, she excels in managing large-scale civic projects and thrives in multidisciplinary team environments. Her work reflects a deep commitment to design excellence and a passion for shaping meaningful outdoor spaces.

Julia Mishan
Senior Landscape Architect
Julia Mishan is a Landscape Architect with over 10 years of experience in designing distinguished hotels, resorts, private residential, and mixed-use developments, as well as contributing to large-scale master plans. Over time, her professional focus has evolved toward urban design, driven by a deep interest in contemporary urban challenges.
She pursued a Master’s degree in Tropical Urban Design to further strengthen her expertise and continues to be dedicated to creating impactful, climate-resilient urban spaces. Julia is committed to redefining the role of landscape architecture in shaping cities, ensuring every project enhances public spaces and delivers meaningful experiences for communities.

Ghafar Yaakob
Senior Landscape Architect
Ghafar Yaakob is a Landscape Architect with over 10 years of experience. He has been actively involved in the strategic planning and execution of projects ranging from small-scale developments to large, complex masterplans. His involvement spans the full project lifecycle—through initial design development, budgeting, and tendering, to authority liaison and construction management.
Ghafar’s project oversight experience, technical proficiency, and commitment to quality allow him to manage and deliver successful and impactful landscapes.
His ability and experience work towards ensuring that every project is executed with professionalism, and a clear understanding of our high design and delivery expectations.
